Perhaps our most unique writing instrument, this pen’s cap is covered in black Salmon skin (pen number 1 in the last gallery image) that has silver flakes embedded in the scales to accent the pen, whose solid sterling silver barrel is guilloché engraved by hand with a chessboard pattern. The clip and end fittings are plated with 18kt ruthenium, to accent the black color of the leather.
Our fish hide pens are all one-of-a-kind items and are guaranteed to be conversation pieces as well as excellent writers that look great in the pocket or on the desk.
The #6 steel nib, sourced from Peter Bock in Germany, is a very smooth writer, and is available in EF, F, M, B.
About the hide: This leather, which has been sustainably sourced from farm raised fish and is the by-product of food production, is extremely durable yet remains soft to the touch. Used in Iceland for shoes, belts and other accessories, it has certainly proven its durability.
