Wolffish Fountain Pen

$275.00

Description

Among our most unique writing instruments, this pen’s cap is covered in either red or turquoise Wolffish skin. (These variations are pictured 2nd and 3rd from the left in the first gallery photo.) This specific pen is on the left in the first gallery image. The wolffish is a prehistoric deep sea dweller living off the coast of Iceland. The pen’s solid sterling silver barrel and section are guilloché engraved by hand with a chisel pattern and plated in 18kt ruthenium (known as black gold in the Italian jewelry industry). The nib and small rings are plated with 18kt rose gold.

Our fish hide pens are all one-of-a-kind items and are guaranteed to be conversation pieces as well as excellent writers that look great in the pocket or on the desk.

The #6 steel nib, sourced from Peter Bock in Germany, is a very smooth writer, and is available in EF, F, M, B.

About the hide: This leather, which has been sustainably sourced as a by-product of food production, is extremely durable yet remains soft to the touch. Used in Iceland for shoes, belts and other accessories, it has certainly proven its durability.
