In lieu of the canceled 2020 St. Louis Pen Show, we participated in a virtual makers fair for which this pen was created. It is still available as a special order (4-6 weeks for delivery), but the bonus bottle of ink is no longer available.
Please select if you want the St. Louis engraving or not: the clip is engraved with “2020 The Pen Show That Wasn’t” and the cap ring is expertly engraved with the St. Louis skyline.
This elegant pen demonstrates the mastery of our artisans in advancing the ancient technique of guilloché engraving with modern designs and materials. The twist pattern is engraved into the barrel, cap and section, all of which are made of solid sterling silver. When rotated, the pen glimmers in the light. Furthermore, the pen is coated with a high-tech nanoceramic coating, developed in the aerospace industry, which is very hard and durable, rendering the pen scratch resistant. While it gives the pen a very beautiful color, it remains transparent so that the guilloché engraving shows through. An homage to Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, the twisting lines of this design call to mind the cathedral of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain. The pen is a joy both to write with and to behold.
The #6 steel nib, sourced from Peter Bock in Germany, is a very smooth writer, and is available in EF, F, M, B. Nibs are also available in 18kt gold, just add the gold nib to your shopping cart.
Please note: This special order pen takes 3-4 weeks to produce.
